The world has been challenged by pandemics for thousands of years. These pandemics have been shaping our cities and even our current responses to Covid-19.
In this webinar, Dr. Philippe Bouvier, Ph.D. in urban studies, will review past pandemics and the way they impacted our cities to create long term urban value. We will then address how cities, andour way of living, will change due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Cities are currently challenged and will face a permanent disruption.

Dr Philippe Bouvier is a recognized international expert in urban digital transformation, critical infrastructure protection, and in the integration of complex systems. He is also a recognized expert at the European Commission in IT Security Risk Management. He has 20 years of experience in Consulting, Project Management, Audit, and Research. He has a worldwide practical experience of design of command centers in multiple sectors including integrated urban management (i.e. smart city platform), urban security, public water, energy, and public transportations. He holds an Executive MBA at INSEAD in Singapore and a PhD is in urban studies (urbanism and city management) from Paris University.
This unique and innovative master's degree is the first of its kind in the region and explores what cities are, and what they can be. It goes beyond the concept of a smart city to also cover important technological, social and sustainability issues to ensure a comprehensive and holistic approach to the cities of today and tomorrow.
